Adam Cracknell (born July 15, 1985) is a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger currently playing for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL). ==Playing career== Cracknell played junior hockey for the Kootenay Ice in the Western Hockey League (WHL). Has was a member of the 2004–05 WHL regular season champions with the Kootenay Ice. In his final year, 2005–06, Cracknell lead the Kootenay team in goals (42), assists (51) and points (93); was Ranked second in the WHL in total points; and was named to the WHL West Second All-Star Team. Noticed by professional scouts for his size and work ethic, Cracknell was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the final round of the 2004 draft. He played three seasons (2006–09) with the Flames' minor league affiliates, but failed to make the jump into the NHL, and on July 16, 2009 he was signed as an unrestricted free agent by the St. Louis Blues. Cracknell was recalled by the Blues on March 1, 2011 after spending the majority of the 2011 season playing for the Blues affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League. On March 12, 2011, Cracknell scored his first NHL goal in a game against the Detroit Red Wings. On April 17, 2014, Cracknell scored his first Stanley Cup Playoff goal in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarter Finals for the Blues against the Chicago Blackhawks, a series the Blues lost in six games. On July 1, 2014, Cracknell signed as a free agent to a one-year deal with the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings. Cracknell did not make the Kings out of training camp, and after being placed on waivers, was claimed by the Columbus Blue Jackets on October 7, 2014. Cracknell played 17 games with the Blue Jackets in the 2014-15 season, before he was re-assigned to AHL affiliate, the Springfield Falcons. On February 26, 2015, Cracknell was re-acquired by the St. Louis Blues for future considerations and assigned to the Chicago Wolves. On August 25, 2015, he was signed as a free agent by the Vancouver Canucks to a one-year, two-way contract. Despite being expected to begin the year with the Utica Comets Cracknell impressed at training camp and was named to the Canucks' opening night roster.
